BUYING
OUR AUCTIONS
The auction can be conducted in two ways:
LIVE (IN-PERSON)
This is the traditional auction, held at the auction house's headquarters and lasting a few hours. In addition to in-person participation, you can also participate in the Live auction online, through the "Live Auction" page on this website, or through popular international auction portals (Drouot, Bidspirit, etc.).
The Live Auction is always preceded by a few days of viewing at our Rome office, Largo di Santa Susanna 124.
TIMED (ONLINE ONLY)
The timed auction is only available on the website. It typically lasts 10 days, and bids can be placed throughout the auction. If you place a bid, you will be notified when it is outbid.
Timed auctions do not always include viewing. If viewing is available, the viewing can be viewed at our Rome office, Largo di Santa Susanna 124, for the entire duration of the auction.
To participate in either type of auction, you must register.

BIDDING AND WINNING
1 - VIEW THE CATALOG AND CHOOSE
Each auction, whether Live or Timed, includes a catalog with descriptive photos, a short description written by our experts, and an estimate.
View the catalog and choose the lots you wish to bid on.
2 - PLACE YOUR BID
If the auction is timed, meaning online only, your bid is immediate and will remain the highest until it is exceeded.
If you intend to participate in a Live auction, you have several options:
- Place a pre-bid directly on the lot's listing; this, known as a "commission," authorizes the auctioneer to bid on your behalf.
- Register for "telephone bidding," which means that, during the auction, an auction house representative will call you and report your bids to the auction room.
- If possible, visit the showroom in the days before the auction; In this case, you can fill out the paper "commission form" on site and, if desired, book the auction by phone.
3 - WON!
You've won one or more lots (congratulations!). The administration will immediately send you confirmation by email.
If, in person, you win a lot that's easily transportable, you can pay for it and pick it up immediately.
If transportation is required, you can ask our After-Sales Service to recommend a trusted carrier, or use your own.

4 - PAYMENT AND DELIVERY
The final amount due will include the hammer price and the buyer's premium.
Please note that purchased lots must be collected within 20 business days of the award. Storage costs will be charged after the 21st day.
